Conceptualismo y no conceptualismo: una aproximacion pragmatista desde los grupos aporeticos
Abstract
In what follows, I will try to show how Rescher ́s pragmatist metaphilosophy operates. To do this, I will take as example the contemporary debate between conceptualism and non-conceptualism, focusing on those positions that assume the relevance of German idealism to confront it. I will argue that the structure of this debate conforms to what Nicholas Rescher calls an “aporetic group” and, because of this, the disagreement doesn’t lie in arguments, but in “cognoscitive values.” Therefore, the only viable option to break the impasse is to modify the central conceptual categories of the dispute to suggest a new group capable of establishing further disputes and consequences.
