Abstract

This article offers a commented reading of Calderón’s sacramental play “Towards God through Reason of State”, paying particular attention to the personification of the Thought. It also explains certain keys of the Baroque allegorization overlooked by traditional criticism and considers the literary theory's attempt to find thought within works of fiction.
