Abstract

Title: Assessing the Regenerative Effects of Whole-Body Cryotherapy Objektive: The goal of this study is to assess the outcomes of heart rate variability and tissue oximetry measurements taken after physical exercise, followed by whole-body cryotherapy (WBC). These results will be compared with measurements taken under similar conditions but without the therapy. Additionally, I aim to delve into the underlying theories and mechanisms responsible for the regenerative effects of this treatment. The theoretical part is focusing on a problematics such as physical aktivity, regeneration after performance, autonomous regulation of nervous system and physiological responses for cold exposure. Practical part has a characteristics of experiment and it is comparing chosen physiological parameters in two different situations. One was with aplication of whole-body cold therapy and second one without it. Evaluated were heart rate variability, heart rate and tissue oxymetry in 11 participant after they went through high intensity interval training. The measurings occured throughout more specific phases of experiment such as warmup atc. The results are showing that whole-body cold therapy could have a short-time positive affect on regeneration of periferal oxygenation of muscle tissue. While its affect on heart...
