Abstract

In my diploma thesis, I will focus on selected experimental film works, filmmakers and various creative approaches in film. This topic is indirectly related to my bachelor's thesis focused on surrealist photography in connection with imagination and its overlaps with psychology and identity. I have been working on this issue for a long time, and the practical part of my diploma thesis will also be focused on a similar topic. The output of this part will be an experimental film devoted to the issue of the identity of a person addicted to alcohol. In the theoretical part, I will focus on the film and artistic analysis of individual works and, in connection with this, I will compare the authors' approaches and the processing of specific films. I will look for different approaches to experimental film across time and space, which will not only serve as inspiration for my own work, but I will also use them as a theoretical basis for teaching film topics in art education at secondary schools. In the didactic part, I will focus on a creative task focused on the creation of short art films. The implementation of this task will be directly followed by a research part focused on the functionality of the assignment and alterations with students over the age of fifteen.
