What Appears Random at Low Resolution Becomes Structured at Higher Constraint Resolution
Abstract
This project investigates whether apparent randomness in structured systems is a consequence of incomplete constraint resolution rather than intrinsic stochastic behavior. Using the prime gap sequence as a measurable test system, we examine whether uncertainty collapses predictably as constraint depth increases. The project formalizes entropy operationally as the logarithm of admissible future states under constraint depth Q and tests whether entropy decreases monotonically with increasing structural information.
