Abstract
Author: Bc. Monika Dundrová Title: The Effect of Post Activation Potentiation of Lower Limb Muscles through Plyometric Exercises on Performance in Teamgym Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine the impact of post activation potentiation, applied throuh plyometric exercises of the lower limbs, on the performance of athletes in Teamgym and to analyze the time course of this effect. Methods: The practical part of this thesis is an experimental research with a randomized crossover study design. The research sample (n = 10) consisted of female gymnasts aged 20-28 years, with a mean age of 22,4 ( 2,4) years, a height of 166 ( 3,8) cm and a body weight of 63 ( 3,7) kg. Data collection took place at FTVS UK, using the VERT - Wearable Jump Monitor to measure jump height. The testing protocol involved standardized warm-up, subsequent pre-tests, an experimental intervention in the form of lower limb plyometric exercises, and post- tests conducted immediately after the intervention as well as at intervals of 2, 4, 8 and 12 minutes. The control group spent the equivalent time performing active recovery. The obtained data were statistically analyzed using JASP, applying repeated mesures ANOVA with post hoc tests and effect size expressed as Hedges's g. Results: In the vertical jump test, no...
