Development of the level of motor skills of pupis aged 11 to 15 over the past 10 years.
Abstract
This thesis focuses on the motor abilities of pupils aged 11 to 15 years and their development over the past decade. The research was conducted using the UNIFITTEST (6-60) motor test battery, and the current results were compared with data published in professional studies during the last ten years. The theoretical part deals with key concepts from anthropomotorics, motor abilities and their taxonomy and determinants, principles of motor learning, and the development of motor skills within the framework of the national and school educational programmes. The practical part focuses on testing pupils from the second stage of three elementary schools, comprising a total of 332 participants. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, mode, minimum, maximum, and range. The Shapiro-Wilk test was applied to verify the normality of the data, and effect size was calculated using Glass's delta. The results revealed that the level of motor abilities in pupils aged 11 to 15 has predominantly declined between 2015 and 2025. The most pronounced decrease was observed in the sit-ups test, the 4×10 m shuttle run, and the sit-and-reach test. These findings indicate a substantial deterioration in trunk muscular endurance, speed-agility...
