What do the Czech citizens understand by the terms left-wing, right-wing, conservative, and liberal – June 2025

As part of its June survey on the Our Society Panel, the Public Opinion Research Center focused on the meanings Czech citizens attribute to the terms 'left-wing,' 'right-wing,' 'conservative,' and 'liberal'. The research also included questions about how easy it was for respondents to place themselves on scales constructed from these concepts (left–right and conservative–liberal) and whether anything came to their minds automatically or only after reflection in connection with these concepts.
