Abstract

Supervision and Mindfulness This thesis explores the understanding of mindfulness in supervisory practice and its relationship to supervisors' reflexivity in the Czech Republic. The aim of the study is to understand how supervisors in the Czech Republic understand and use mindfulness and other techniques supporting reflexivity in supervision and what importance they attach to them in supervisory practice. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, applying reflexive thematic analysis based on semi-structured interviews with six supervisors. The findings indicate that mindfulness is present in supervision predominantly in an implicit form and is understood more as an attitude or professional competence than as a set of techniques. The thesis contributes to clarifying the role of mindfulness in supervisory practice and highlights its relevance for the development of reflexivity and education of supervisors. Key words: mindfulness, supervision, reflexivity, supervisory practice, supervisor
