Effects of summer droughts on herbaceous vegetation in temperate zone
Abstract
Title: Effects of summer droughts on herbaceous vegetation in temperate zone Abstract: Because of the climatic changes in a few years or a few decades, summer drought in temperate grasslands is more and more actual. iIt is really big probability here that the weather will cause changes of flora in grasslands of temeperate zone in future. One of the outstanding questions is how exactly clonal plants survive these drought stress conditions and what strategies they can use to do so. I would also like to point out the role some of the clonal plant organs may have in surviving the summer droughts or at least help with surviving. And I would also like to show more possibilities even from outside of the temperate zone due to the theme of surviving plants through droughts. Keywords: drought, drought tolerance, water deficit, clonality, drought stress, surviving, grasslands
