A Pep Talk

Reflective Memo: This essay was perhaps the most challenging for me all quarter.I learned about analyzing rhetoric a little in high school, but this was the first time I had to break down all those devices and strategies and then write about them.I could pick out and identify many of the little things they used in the video, but it was hard for me to determine the importance of the choices and then write a whole essay about them.Part of my success in this essay was simply revising many drafts.I took them to my professor as well as the Writing and Rhetoric Center, and asked peers for advice.The final copy of this essay turned out quite different and cleaner than my first couple of drafts.
