Abstract

This project contains the protocol for a scoping review examining the evolution of surgical techniques, outcome measurement practices, and comparative evidence for corrective osteotomy in distal radius malunion. The review follows JBI scoping review methodology and PRISMA-ScR reporting guidelines. Three technological eras (Pre-VLP, VLP Predominance, and 3D-Assisted) and four fixation categories (Non-VLP, VLP, 3D-assisted, Other) are examined across studies from database inception to January 2025.
