MODEL HEFFRON-PHILLIPS TERINTEGRASI DENGAN STATIC VAR COMPENSATOR UNTUK MEREDAM OSILASI SISTEM TENAGA
Abstract
This research implements the Advanced Heffron-Phillips Model (AHPM), which provides a more accurate representation of system dynamics by accounting for the d-axis and q-axis damper winding dynamics. The stabilization scheme is carried out through the integration of a Static VAR Compensator (SVC) and a Power System Stabilizer (PSS), where the most responsive controller parameters are determined using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) optimization technique. Research results show that the coordination of SVC and PSS on the AHPM significantly enhances system stability. This is reflected in the shift of the dominant eigenvalue to the left-half of the s-plane (λ = -1.185 + 0.3571i), achieving a highly optimal damping ratio (ζ) of 0.9575. Furthermore, the improvement in system performance is indicated by the acceleration of the settling time for the rotor angle variable, which reaches 3.1290 seconds. The coordination of SVC and PSS is an optimal solution through a complementary integration of roles, where the SVC maintains voltage stability to strengthen the synchronizing torque, while the PSS specifically provides additional damping torque to suppress rotor angle oscillations Keywords: Advance Heffron-Phillips Model (AHPM), Small-Signal Stability, Static VAR Compensator (SVC), Power System Stabilizer (PSS), Settling Time
