Abstract

Description (Abstract) Osteosarcopenic obesity (OSO) is a recently recognized geriatric condition characterized by the coexistence of obesity, sarcopenia, and bone loss. This systematic review and meta-analysis will aim to synthesize and critically evaluate the available evidence on the prevalence, diagnostic criteria, and clinical implications of OSO in older adults. The review will include observational and interventional studies that investigate the diagnosis and outcomes associated with OSO. The findings will provide a comprehensive overview of the operational definitions currently in use and will identify research gaps to guide the development of standardized diagnostic approaches.
