Abstract

This keynote lecture highlights the applications of artificial intelligence for forecasting the energy consumption in public buildings. The real-world case studies have been fully demonstrated to showcase the light-weight AI that can be embedded in the digital twins. The energy forecasts can enable effective and efficient energy grid usage that embrace multiple renewable sources of energy. This will pave the feasible, scalable pathway for 100% energy independence of not only a building cluster, but also at the city scale.
