Order Theory, Fixed Point, and Social Change
Abstract
Knowing that a society can be represented, in a simplified way, not only as a hyper- graph but also as a partial order, we seek to draw some philosophical consequences from certain fixed-point theorems existing in order theory. Then, in the case of an established order that has taken the form of a set of controls (as in what modernity has called "control societies"), we show under what conditions such an order can collapse.
