Abstract

Citation: Seidel, L. (2026). Vortex-Based Cosmology. Zenodo. DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18803101 Vortex-Based Cosmology is a comprehensive research program that develops a unified physical model in which spacetime, matter, fields, and large-scale cosmic structures emerge from a single underlying dynamical principle. The framework describes spacetime as a non‑orientable manifold with a global topology related to that of a Klein bottle. This topology naturally generates constrictions, cyclic return flows, and self‑similar structures across all physical scales. Within this model, vortices appear as fundamental, topologically stable configurations of the spacetime flow. Their geometric and dynamical properties provide a basis for interpreting elementary particles, gravitational effects, electromagnetic phenomena, and the formation of large‑scale cosmic structures. Particle characteristics such as mass, charge, and spin arise from discrete vortex modes, while particle decays correspond to topological reconfigurations of the underlying flow. On cosmological scales, the model offers alternative interpretations of expansion, background radiation, and galactic rotation curves. Instead of invoking singularities, inflation, or dark‑matter halos, the framework explains these phenomena through the geometry and dynamics of global and local vortex structures. The non‑orientable topology eliminates the need for singular origins and supports a cyclic, self‑sustaining cosmological evolution. This OSF project provides the full monograph, source files, and supporting materials. It is designed as a foundation for further mathematical refinement, numerical simulation, and empirical comparison. The project will be expanded over time with additional analyses, derivations, and follow‑up studies that extend the vortex‑based approach to broader areas of theoretical physics.
