Abstract

Access to cancer medicines in LMICs is hindered considerably by high prices. The World Health Organization and other stakeholders have identified or employed measures to reduce these prices. However, the evidence on the implementation is fragmented, limited in geographic and policy coverage, or excludes the contributions of other actors along the medicines supply chain. Our study will therefore appraise the literature to map the various pricing policies and strategies adopted by different stakeholders along the supply chain to lower the prices of cancer medicines in LMICs, the outcomes of these interventions, and the contextual factors that have influenced implementation.
