Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the current landscape of Resilience-Based Maintenance (RBM) in the context of AI-driven, sustainable, and human-centric industrial systems, in alignment with Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 paradigms. The review synthesizes over 100 publications, classifies them into thematic areas, and identifies research gaps, technological enablers, and integration challenges. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainability-oriented maintenance practices, human-centric design principles, and the alignment of operational, strategic, and environmental resilience objectives.
