Abstract

All probability findings extracted from the included articles in the MNM systematic review. To view the files in this folder, first click "Probability Findings," then click on the Files tab at the top of the page. Findings are grouped by task: point task (examining a stimulus to extracting meaning about single probabilities, such as chance of disease), difference task (extracting information about differences between probabilities, such as the effect of a risk fact on chance of disease), time trend task (extracting information about change over time), synthesis task (integrating information about multiple probabilities such as risks and benefits of a therapy), and synthesis-Bayesian (integrating information about joint and conditional probabilities to make sense of posterior probability of disease given a positive or negative screening/diagnostic test).
