Abstract

This project presents a complete teaching innovation designed to enhance strategic decision-making skills in International Business education through immersive technologies. Developed and piloted at Tecnológico de Monterrey, the five-week module combines Virtual Reality (VR) simulations with Artificial Intelligence (AI) feedback dashboards to recreate complex, volatile, and ethically ambiguous business environments. Grounded in experiential learning theory, cognitive load theory, and constructivist pedagogy, the model enables students to rehearse international market-entry, cross-cultural negotiation, supply chain disruption, and corruption dilemmas in real time. The instructional design follows an Immersion–Analytics–Reflection cycle, offering structured activities, measurable learning outcomes, and guided debriefing sessions. The OSF project includes: A detailed Teaching Note with weekly structure and implementation guide. A Scenario Pack of four VR modules mapped to strategic and ethical competencies. A Rubric for Strategic Decision-Making, validated for inter-rater reliability. A customizable AI Dashboard Template (Python + Google Sheets). Instructor resources for onboarding and adaptation. All materials are shared under a Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 license to promote global adoption, scholarly collaboration, and interdisciplinary scaling. This initiative exemplifies how immersive analytics and ethical decision training can converge to support responsible leadership education in the digital age.
