Abstract

Project Floreah is the first prospective longitudinal study of infants with family history of autism and ADHD in Latin America and incorporates a large randomised controlled trial to evaluate the efficacy of the iBASIS preemptive support for these infants. "Floreah” is a play on words with the Portuguese words for flourish (“Florescer”), autism (“TEA”) and ADHD ("TDAH”) and represents what we intend to achieve with this study. Our goal is to implement ways to support the development of neurodivergent infants, specifically those with elevated likelihood of autism and/or ADHD, so that they can flourish from the beginning of life.
