CPR ABM Strategic Heterogeneity
Abstract
This study asks whether differences in the strategic composition of otherwise comparable CPR user groups help explain why similar governance institutions produce different collective outcomes. Combining framed field experiments with empirically calibrated simulations, we show that strategic composition generates distinct cooperation dynamics and therefore represents an overlooked group-level characteristic relevant for understanding variation in CPR governance outcomes.
