Abstract

Just ask! Removing the guesswork from open scholarship outreach and education, is a grant funded project sponsored by the Open Research Funders Group (ORFG) and carried out by Arizona State University Library. The objectives of the grant included: gather input and suggestions from a diverse set of faculty and researchers to identify specific barriers to open scholarship practices within our research communities, and create a plan to develop resources and recommendations for improved support to library and university partners. To meet these objectives, the project team conducted focus groups with faculty across the institution to gather their perspectives in regard to conducting open scholarship at Arizona State University. This OSF project includes data from these focus groups and the resulting presentations and reports. This work was supported by The Open Research Funders Group Seed Awards Program. We gratefully acknowledge their support, which made this research and its outcomes possible. Any views expressed in this project are those of the authors/participants and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Open Research Funders Group or the Seed Awards Program.
