Topical honey in the management of eyelid and periocular wounds: A systematic review
Abstract
This systematic review aims to evaluate the therapeutic use of topical honey in eyelid and periocular wounds, including traumatic and surgical injuries. The review will summarize evidence on wound healing, complications, and cosmetic outcomes. Due to expected heterogeneity and limited number of studies, a structured narrative synthesis is planned rather than quantitative meta-analysis.
