Relações entre apatridia e infâncias: Diálogos sobre (re)existências
Abstract
Initiating with Albert Camus’exploration of the absurd and revolt, this article delves into the implications of statelessness from birth. It highlights the intricate relationship between statelessness, childhood, and children based on International Conventions and Treaties and their connection to the Brazilian legal system. This exploratory study reflects on legislation and rights related to individuals in displacement contexts, such as migrants, refugees, and stateless persons. We examine their interactions with the concept of childhood and children, as well as their ways of inhabiting and transforming the world in light of current regulations. Additionally, we emphasize the challenges in the educational process, which, beyond the intentions and training of educators, require attentionfrompublic policies that genuinely promote hospitality and integration with ethics and dignity in the face of the human condition, as advocated by constitutional principles. We conclude with considerations that highlight the urgency of actions, beyond the ratification of Conventions and Treaties, emphasizing the importance of nation-states considering the primacy of the human condition and the comprehensive protection of infants, children, and adolescents.
