Abstract

This OSF project is the bilingual release hub (ID–EN), v1.0 (2025) for The Cohesive Tetrad: Languages of Truth (The Saloqum Treatise). It is governed by a strict scholarly discipline: one canonical source edition and one official translation. The Indonesian edition (01_ID) is the sole canonical reference for definitional, delimitative, and methodological use, and must remain the final anchor for any claim that seeks canonical standing. The English edition (02_EN) is the official controlled translation, derived from and aligned with the canonical ID edition, and must not be represented as an independent canonical source. Accordingly, citations that carry definitional, delimitative, or methodological weight must ultimately resolve to the ID canonical edition, while the EN edition may be cited for access and quotation. The core thesis establishes a boundary for public reasoning. Logic tests inference; it does not generate normative permissibility. Formal validity can secure that a conclusion follows from granted premises, but it cannot convert facts, formal coherence, or measurability into obligation without an explicitly stated normative premise. The is-ought gap marks that constraint at the structural level. When logic is absolutised as the sole judge of truth, public truth-criteria narrow into three substitutes that appear objective: formal coherence, procedural compliance, and measurable indicators. This produces a category mistake in which validity is treated as permissibility, procedure as justice, and metrics as dignity. The result is metric fixation and metric sovereignty: measures become targets, systems drift toward instrumental optimisation, and institutional life becomes structurally susceptible to manipulation (Goodhart, Campbell). In the public domain this distortion is decisive, because collective decisions necessarily contain value-conflicts and fairness trade-offs that cannot be settled by formal validity alone. Therefore, the central question is not only whether a proposition is true, but whether it has standing to bind. A truth-claim binds a civilisation only insofar as it can be examined and publicly accounted for as Akhlaq, understood as an observable trace of character and conduct across time and contexts, resistant to performative incentives and irreducible to rhetoric or procedural compliance.
