AI-Assisted Cognitive Support: A Case Study
Abstract
This case study examines AI-assisted cognitive scaffolding as a mechanism for reducing cognitive load, supporting decision-making, and restoring executive function under conditions of uncertainty. It frames human–AI interaction as a coupled system, emphasizing cognitive relief, boundary management, and the transfer of strategies from assisted to independent execution.
