Symptom network analysis in gastrointestinal cancer: methodological and reporting standards—A scoping review
Abstract
This project conducts a scoping review of symptom network analysis studies in gastrointestinal cancers. We focus on methodological and reporting inconsistencies that limit the comparability and clinical translation of findings. Our goal is to synthesize a context-specific framework and propose a minimum reporting set tailored to GI cancer research. This work will support more rigorous, reproducible, and clinically meaningful network studies to inform symptom management in oncology nursing.
